Do I need a new license when upgrading from Syslog-NG Premium Edition version 7 to version 8.0.1?

A new license is not required when upgrading from Syslog-NG PE version 7 to version 8.0.1.
The license issued for version 7 remains valid and compatible with version 8.0.1 as well.Please note that if you are upgrading from version 6 to version 7, a new license is required. You can find a KB article for this here.
This change applies only to that major version transition — starting with version 7, the same license continues to work for version 8.x releases.
