CSV Synchronization Fails with "[ServiceStack.HttpError] Already authenticated" When Using AppServer (4381731)

When running a CSV synchronization while connected through an Application Server, the process may fail with the following error:

[ServiceStack.HttpError] Already authenticated

The error is logged in the Job Server or application logs and causes the CSV sync process to terminate unexpectedly.

The stack trace typically includes calls to SessionAuthProvider.AuthenticateAsync and AuthenticateService.PostAsync, indicating a failure during session authentication on the Application Server.

The issue can be reproduced when two parallel session requests are initiated against the Application Server.

This issue is caused by a product defect in the Application Server authentication handling, where parallel authentication requests can lead to a session state conflict.

The defect has been acknowledged by One Identity and is tracked internally under defect ID 649418.

A hotfix is available from One Identity to address this issue.
