Attestation History Export Fails with "IN clause exceeds the limit of 1024 elements" When Exporting All Data

When attempting to export Attestation History in the Web Portal:

1. Navigate to Attestation > History.
2. Go to Settings → Export Data.
3. Select Data to be exported: All data (e.g., 3581 items).
4. Choose CSV format and default columns.
5. Click Export.

 

The export fails with the following error: [System.Exception] An error occurred while processing the request: GET http://.../portal/attestation/case?PageSize=3581... [810268] The IN clause exceeds the limit of 1024 elements.

Exporting only the displayed page (20 items) succeeds. No custom filters are applied.

When exporting "All Data", the backend query construction creates a SQL IN clause containing more than 1024 elements. This exceeds the maximum allowed by the database engine (SQL Server / Oracle), causing the export to fail.

None

 

STATUS:

Waiting for a fix in a future release of Identity Manager. If impacted by this issue, please contact Support for a hotfix for Defect number 649804.

 

This hotfix replaces the following files:

• ATT.CompositionApi.dll
• ATT.CompositionApi.Server.PlugIn.dll
• de/ATT.CompositionApi.Server.PlugIn.resources.dll

After applying the hotfix and restarting the affected services, exporting the full Attestation History ("All Data") will succeed.
