Resolution
In addition to On-Premise versions of SQL Server, Azure SQL, SQL Azure Managed Instances, and AWS RDS SQL Server, One Identity Manager now supports Google Cloud SQL as a database platform starting with version 9.3.0 and above.
The following requirements and limitations apply to the use of Google Cloud SQL as a database system:
- The Configuration Wizard can create a new database and install the One Identity Manager schema.
- Alternatively, the One Identity Manager schema can be installed in an existing database.
- When deploying a database, ensure that the database name requirements are met.
- Database names must start with a letter and only contain letters, digits, and underscores (_).
- The maximum length permitted for a database name is 64 characters.
- Take into account any additional limitations from Microsoft for Database identifiers.
- The granular permissions concept is not supported.
- Ledger is not supported. For more information, see the Knowledge Base.
When using the common installation wizard to install on Google Cloud SQL, skip the wizard page that allows for the configuration of granular permissions.
