After upgrading to Password Manager 5.16, the Secure Password Extension (SPE) may show this error from the Windows logon screen:
“The page you opened does not belong to One Identity Password Manager. It will now be closed.”

This is commonly seen when MFA providers such as DUO, Azure MFA, or rSTS insert redirect pages during authentication.
SPE checks the loaded page for Password Manager HTML markers to confirm it belongs to Password Manager. In PM 5.16, the embedded browser engine was upgraded, and page load events now fire earlier on intermediate redirect pages as well. Those redirect pages do not contain the expected Password Manager markers, so SPE validates too early and incorrectly shows the error before the final Password Manager page loads.
