When using HP-UXs SAM utility you receive a error similar to the following.
"UNEXPECTED EXIT: process LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/sam/lbin/samx -C -p 11386 -s users /usr/sam/lib//ug.ui exited with a non-zero exit status.
sh: 11656 Memory fault(coredump) "
This issue occurs when you have local or VAS-enabled group names that exceed 32 characters.
Use /opt/quest/bin/vastool list groups to find group names over 32 characters and reduce the length of these to under 32.
1 - You can make use of the /etc/opt/quest/vas/group-override, to override the offending group to less characters
Examples on what overrides are possible are available via the /etc/opt/quest/vas/group-override.sample file.
