You are looking to install the Privilege Manager Console (PMC) from Quest Privilege Manager for Unix version 5.1.1
Run the pmcinstall script.
Next run the following
#/opt/quest/qpm4u/bin/linux-intel/configPMCGroupPerm.sh apache apache -update
Add the following at the bottom of your # /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf
BrowserMatch "MSIE" AuthDigestEnableQueryStringHack=On
#
# PMC Specific Directives
#
# ScriptAlias must be ${PMCALIAS.EN}/cgi-bin
ScriptAlias /pmc/cgi-bin/ "/opt/quest/pmc/pages/cgi-bin/"
<Directory "/opt/quest/pmc/pages/cgi-bin">
AllowOverride None
Options None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
Alias /pmc /opt/quest/pmc/pages
<Directory "/opt/quest/pmc/pages">
AuthType digest
AuthName "PMC"
AuthDigestProvider file
AuthUserFile /opt/quest/pmc/passwd
Require valid-user
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>
Restart apache
# /etc/init.d/httpd restart
You will also need to create a link to the pm.settings file
1. Rename or delete the old pm.settings file:
# mv /etc/opt/quest/pm.settings /etc/opt/quest/pm.settings.old
2. Create the hard link:
# ln /etc/opt/quest/qpm4u/pm.settings /etc/opt/quest/pm.settings
NOTE if you are using Redhat 4 or apache 2.0.x please amend as follows. You can determine the apache version by running # apachectl -v
1. Remove or comment the below lines.
AuthDigestProvider file
AuthUserFile /opt/quest/pmc/passwd
2. Replace with the following line.
AuthDigestFile /opt/quest/pmc/passwd
