Information on the Java files used by QESSO
accessibility.properties
This is a standardised Java virtual machine configuration file. It may
or may not be present. It may be used by several different applications.
It may contain a parameter assistive_technologies. This parameter is
a comma-separated list of values. Each value represents a Java class to
be loaded and inititialized in each Java virtual machine when it starts.
If the file or parameter does not exist, Quest E-SSO creates it at
installation. It the file or parameter already exists, it is modified
such that the E-SSO class is added to the end of the list.
While this file may be used by several applications, applications that use
the file/parameter are rare. In the case of JInitiator, which contains
a Java installation dedicated to certain kinds of Java program, the chances
of a finding a second application that uses the same parameter are lower
than with a general purpose Java installation.
jaccess.jar
This file is a Sun Microsystems redistributable file containing Java classes
used by the Quest E-SSO Java Plug-in.
The file may be installed or used by other applications. For this reason
it is not deleted when E-SSO is removed.
Because of its location (in the ext sub-directory) it is loaded into
memory by every Java virtual machine process of the Java installation
(java.exe, javaw.exe and browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Firefox,
when they load Java applets). The file cannot be over-written while one
of these processes is using it.
If the file already exists when E-SSO is installed, it is over-written
with the new version. If the file cannot be over-written, the system is
configured to replace it with the new version next time Windows is
	started.
wgjpi.jar
This file is Quest E-SSO-specific. No other software installs it.
It contains the Java classes which allow E-SSO to monitor and to interact
with the graphical user interface of Java programs. In particular it
contains the class named in accessibility.properties.
If the file cannot be over-written, the system is
configured to replace it with the new version next time Windows is
	started.
wgjpi.properties
This file is Quest E-SSO-specific. No other software installs or uses
	it.
This file contains configuration parameters used by the Java classes in
	wgjpi.jar.
If the file already exists, it is over-written during an E-SSO installation.
wgjpiJava.dll
This file is used by the E-SSO Java classes in wgjpi.jar. It contains code
which, amongst other things, allows the SSOWatch to communicate with the
E-SSO Java Plug-in. A parameter in the file wgjpi.properties tells the
Java code where this file is installed.
This file is installed in the SSOWatch installation directory ONLY IF the
Java Plug-in option is selected when installing SSOWatch.
SSOTools.dll
This file is used by wgjpiJava.dll and most other E-SSO components. It is
installed with SSOWatch and with other components.
