Cause
Directory permission issue. Operating System character length issue.

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
On 4.x and up run the /opt/quest/bin/vastool status command or /opt/quest/libexec/vas/scripts/vas_status.sh script to check for critical or failure messages. This will check for correct permissions on directories. If permissions are incorrect it will display what to change them to.
RESOLUTION 2:
1 - uninstall QAS client package
2 - removed /opt/quest
3 - reinstall QAS client package
