How do I identitify the databases that QESSO is using?
Your QESSO implementation may be using both a local audit database and a master audit database, or only one of each. You can confirm in the following ways:
Method 1
On your QESSO controller open the registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AuditSrv. If there is a local audit database in use the following will have values:
E.g.:
"ServerName"="SERVER\\QUESTESSO"
"DatabaseName"="ESSO"
"UserName"="sa"
"Version"="1"
"TableName"="dbo.audit"
If a master audit database is in use you can confirm via HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Enatel\WiseGuard\FrameWork\AuditMasterSrv:
E.g.:
"ServerName"=""
"DatabaseName"=""
"UserName"=""
"MaxMasterSize"=dword:000f4240
"SMTPServer"="SERVER"
"MasterAdmin"=""
"MasterCoAdmins"=""
"TableName"="dbo.Audit"
"DailyUpload"=""
"AgeUnit"=dword:00000002
"MaxCacheAge"=dword:0000000a
"MaxCacheSize"=dword:000003e8
"FreqUnit"=dword:00000002
"CacheSizeFrequency"=dword:0000003c
Method 2
Use the QESSO Administration Tools (WGSRVConfig.exe):
Choose "Configure local audit database" to confirm the settings for a local audit database or "Define a master audit database" for a master audit database.
If a database is configured using the "Use a data link" option then the database information will not appear in the registry, but will exist as a System DSN in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.
