The issue occurs when the following conditions are met:
1. Redhat 6 Linux.
2. /opt is on a separate file system
3. vas3 is behind files in the nsswitch.conf file
The default path /opt/quest is mounted froma remote drive.
Rebooting the machine goes through unmounting any shared drive before stopping the vas services; which should be the other way around.
Stop VAS and unmount drive in this scenario.
This is an OS issue, not a VAS issue. To fix it, move vas3 behind files in nsswitch.conf.
Thats it - system needs to be switched off by force. It seems to berelated to the NSSwitch-component:
