When using the Copy command on an existing user the following error is displayed: Creation of Home Folders in this network location is not allowed. (4298445)

When using the copy option on a user and generating a home folder, the following error is received:

An error occurred during this operation. For details, see the error description below.

Creation of Home Folders in this network location is not allowed. Home folder cannot be created because the Home Folder location Restriction policy does not allow creation of Home Folders in this location. For a list of the network shares and folders in which creation of Home Folders is allowed, refer to the Home Folder Location Restriction policy settings.

Review the Built-in Policy - Home Folder Location Restriction policy and the Network shares and folders are specified be able to create the home folder.

SOLUTION

1. Navigate to Configuration | Policies | Administration | Builtin | Built-in Policy - Home Folder Location Restriction.
2. Select the Policies tab.
3. Double click on the policy Determines the allowed network locations of Home Folders.
4. Select the Allowed Locations tab.
5. Enter the share folder drive location example: \\<Server>\<Share>, home folders can be created in any folder on the network file share specified. If you specify the name in the form \\<Server>\<Share>\<PathtoFolder>, home folders can be created in any sub-folder of the folder.
6. Attempt to use the copy option again on an existing user to verify creation of the home folder

Note: Policy changes occur immediately in Active Roles.
