In some cases you may want to temporarily disable dynamic groups on your ActiveRoles Server environment. This can be achieved by performing some steps which are described in this solution below.
1. Go to Configuration | Policies | Administration/Built-in and select "Built-in Policy - Dynamic Groups" properties. The select Policies and select "Provider support for groups...Then press" View/Edit.
Uncheck the check box "Receive directory changes from DirSync control" - Description: Select this check box to ensure that the policy correctly populates the membership lists regardless of what tools are used to manage Active Directory.
When this check box is cleared, some rule-based membership lists may be incompatible with membership rules. The policy will only reapply membership rules when directory changes are made by using ActiveRoles Server.
2. The go to Configuration | Server Configuration | Scheduled Tasks/Built-in and find and disable two tasks "Dynamic Group Checker" and "Dynamic Group Updater".
Performing the above steps will stop the dynamic groups from working on your ActiveRoles Server environment.
