Can Management Console for Unix be installed on more than one server in the domain.
You could run the Management Console for Unix (MCU) on more than one server however they would have separate databases and the data would not be shared between the two. The idea behind the design was that because it is web based you should be able to access the console from anywhere on the network and multiple users could access it at the same time.
if you back up the following directory from the server with the current values:
• On Windows XP/2003 Server: %SystemDrive%:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Quest Software\Identity Manager for Unix
• On Windows 2008 Server/Vista/7: %SystemDrive%:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Identity Manager for Unix
and place it in the same location on another server and run the MCU installer it does restore the values, of course only to the point from where your took the back up. The best approach I think would be to keep a fairly consistent back up of the 'Identity Manager for Unix' directory and use that to recover all of your values should you encounter an issue.
