Is it possible to have changes logged in Active Roles Management History / Change History which were performed in the Active Roles Management Shell?
N/A
Most Active Roles cmdlets implement a ‘-Control’ parameter which can be used to add information into objects’ Change History in Active Roles.
For example, you could add the name of the script that made the change.
Here’s some sample code:
Add-QADGroupmember -proxy –Identity “SomeGroup” –Member “JUser” –Control @{‘OperationReason’=’Added by AddMembers script’}
The message ’Added by AddMembers script’ will now appear in the ActiveRole Change History of the ‘JUser’ object.
Note that in order for this to work you must have a connection to an ActiveRoles server either by way of a previously executed Connect-QADService or by implementing the ‘-proxy’ switch as shown above.
