Is a new license key required when upgrading from Password Manager 4.x to 5.x?
Or is a new license key required when upgrading from Password Manager5..x to 5.7.x or 5.8?
You cannot use a 4.x license with Password Manager 5.x and you cannot use a 5.x license with Password Manager 4.x.
A new license key file is required when upgrading to a major revision change (4.x to 5.x). To obtain a new license please contact sales or our licensing department at the following link:

However when upgrading within minor versions such as 5..x to 5.7.x or 5.8 the existing 5..x license key will work in newer 5.x releases.
