First, ensure that the entitlements for the user are correct. This can be validated from Reports | Select By User | Select Browse, and select the User in question, and click Run.
Password Requests
- Validate Password Requests have been enabled for the account
From Assets | Find your asset | Accounts tab, ensure there is a tick under "Password Request" for the account
To enable, right click on the Account | Access-Requests | Enable Password Request
- Validate a password has been set on the Account
From Assets | Find your asset | Accounts tab, ensure a warning icon is not showing under "Needs a Password"
To set a password, right click on the Account | Account Security | Set Password. Ensure the password matches the password on the target system.
Session Requests
- Validate Session Requests have been enabled for the asset.
From Assets | Find your asset | General tab, under "Enable Session Request" should be true.
To enable, right click on the Asset | Access-Requests | Enable Session Request
- Validate Session Requests have been enabled for the account
From Assets | Find your asset | Accounts tab, ensure there is a tick under "Session Request" for the account
To enable, right click on the Account | Access-Requests | Enable Session Request
- Validate a password has been set on the Account
From Assets | Find your asset | Accounts tab, ensure a warning icon is not showing under "Needs a Password"
To set a password, right click on the Account | Account Security | Set Password
- If Assets have been added to the Scope in the Access Request Policy, ensure that under Access Config that None has not been selected.
If using Directory Account ensure it has been set.
If using Linked Accounts, ensure the Users have Linked Accounts set on their Accounts
