Directory deletion sync deleted assets and associated accounts, can the assets, accounts, and their passwords be recovered? -
Description
Without any warning or notice, Safeguard will delete directory assets which were originally discovered using asset discovery. These assets and their associated local accounts and passwords will be deleted as well. -
Cause
Directory deletion sync is a scheduled platform task that reads changes from Active Directory and updates Safeguard with changes such as group membership removal, deletion, etc.
Safeguard will delete the asset if it no longer exists in Active Directory. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Restore a previous backup to a stand-alone appliance that is not in a cluster and then retrieve the necessary passwords.
Once all needed passwords have been retrieved add the appliance back to its original cluster.

STATUS
Enhancement request number 242472 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of One Identity Safeguard for Privileged Passwords. -
