Is it possible to run physical Safeguard for Privileged Password (SPP) hardware and Virtual Safeguard appliances in a Safeguard for Privileged Password Cluster?
Error:
The appliance found at <<IP Address of Safeguard>> cannot be joined with this appliance because it is running on a virtual platform. (60681)

Cause
Customers may have physical SPP appliances and want to use the virtual SPP appliances to setup a node in a different geographic location. -
Resolution
Safeguard for Privileged Passwords clusters does not support running a mixture of physical and virtual appliances in the same cluster.

Enhancement 805070 logged to consider allowing Physical and Virtual appliances to exist in the same cluster. Only clusters with all appliances physical OR all appliances virtual are supported.
