There a special upgrade patch that can be used to upgrade from an earlier version of 2.x to 2.11.2. From there, you can upgrade to SPP 6.0 LTS, and then after that you can upgrade to either the latest LTS or Feature release, depending on your preference.
1. Please read the SPP 6.0 LTS Release Notes for information about important product changes that were made. Notably the removal of the internal sessions module, and the introduction of the Long Term Support and Feature Release upgrade paths.
