A. The Safeguard Desktop client uses C# .NET libraries to download the files using HTTP GET requests.
2. What is the location where the client would download the session recording to?
A. The Safeguard Desktop client stores them on disk in a subdirectory of the client installation path.
3. Where else can one obtain logs or what else can one do to troubleshoot the video download?
A. The Session Player does not generate logs. However, it's possible to manually download a session recording to isolate the problem.
4. Is there another way to download the session recording and play them manually in the player?
A. Yes, download session recordings manually through the AccessRequests API. Play the downloaded session through the Safeguard Desktop Player (player.exe).
Steps:
1. Browse to the Core API.
2. Authorize as Policy Admin, Auditor, approver of request, or reviewer of request you want to download
3. Search for the Access Requests you want to view.
a. Expand the AuditLog (GET AuditLog/AccessRquests/Activities ) and click "Try it Out!". Add filter parameters to limit the scope of the search.
b. Take note of the RequestId and SessionId.
4. Download playback data.
a. Expand the AuditLog (GET AuditLog/AccessRequests/Sessions/{requestId}/{sessionId}/Playback)
b. Enter the RequestId and SessionId.
c. Copy the download URL from the response body to download the session file.
5. Play the download file.
a. Navigate to the Session Player.
b. Open the Session Player.
c. Open Session File in Player.
