RADIUS Authentication with Okta is failing for a user -
Description
Using an Okta Radius server in Safeguard that is configured with Radius as Primary setting, when attempting to authenticate to Safeguard the following error appears:
error "Access denied. Invalid creds?"
Credentials have been verified to be correct and can access Okta directly with the same credentials successfully but only fails from Safeguard. -
Cause
Login was failing when the password is greater than 16 characters. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Use a password that is up to 16 characters.
STATUS:
Change Request # 802941 has been addressed in Safeguard 2.9. From the Safeguard 2.9 Release Notes section 'Resolved Issues':
"Authentication to Okta Radius performs correctly when the password length is greater than 16 characters. Issue ID 802941"
