Is it possible to restore a backup from a virtual appliance on a physical appliance? -

At the moment virtual appliances will only create VM compatible backups, which are not to be restored on a physical appliance as this section of the admin guide suggests:

Also, there is not yet a function to create "Physical appliance compatible backups" in virtual appliances. -
Resolution
Enhancement request #421364 has been created for this. One Identity will evaluate the possibility of including this feature on a future release, and this KB article will be updated with the latest information.
