When trying to upgrade SPS and upload a new firmware, the following error message is shown
E: Couldn't open /opt/scb/tmp/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.deb: arformat b0rken dpkg-deb: error: '/opt/scb/tmp/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.deb' is not a Debian format archive. Failed to verify signature of package.
SPS has up to 5 firmware slots available.
If the 5 firmware slots are full, the Upload new firmware section is not visible, therefore, it would not be possible to upload new firmware.
Which may inadvertently cause the admin to incorrectly use the Upload new hotfix section instead, this will cause the error to appear.
Hotfixes are uploaded as .deb files, on the other hand, new firmware is uploaded as a .iso file with a separate upload section for each.
RESOLUTION:
Free up a firmware slot by deleting one of the oldest firmware in the list.
This will enable the Upload new firmware section.
