Some of our users reported that their SCB 4.0(.3+) installation doesn't seem to have any swap space available.
Issuing the following command in the boot shell displays an empty line:
(boot/master/scb1)root@scb1:~# cat /proc/swaps Filename Type Size Used Priority (boot/master/scb1)root@scb1:~#
Subsequent firmware upgrades typically won't fix this issue, this it has to be corrected manually:
To resolve this issue the file has to be re-generated, and the proper partitions formatted as swap, and activated.
To do this, the following commands have to be issued in boot shell of the current node[1]:
# . /usr/share/xcb/swapon.functions # start_swap_on_device /dev/sda2 1 # cat > /etc/xcb/swap_partitions <<<"/dev/sda2"
After this, the contents of the /proc/swaps file should look like this (sizes might be different though):
(boot/master/scb1)root@scb1:~# cat /proc/swaps Filename Type Size Used Priority /dev/sda2 partition 2104508 11900 1 (boot/master/scb1)root@scb1:~#
