Is it possible to install 3rd party software on the SPS appliance core firmware using apt-get for example?
Is it possible to install security software such as Crowdstrike Falcon Sensor?

Resolution
RESOLUTION:
- It is not supported to have 3rd party software installed on the SPS appliances (Including creating new users or having software installed, etc.)
- The SPS appliances has been modified to disallow such changes and do not have apt-get available. The appliance will also not accept uploads through the UI except for official firmware, hotfixes or plugins/modules.
-Manually forcing software into the appliance can interfere with the normal functionality of the appliance; it can taint the firmware which can prevent upgrading to newer versions.
