Description
When booting the SPS from CD or Virtual media on HW 4000 machines the following error is seen.
"Please change 'Onboard Video Option ROM' setup item 'Legacy' for Legacy OS." -
Resolution
Solution:
Follow the steps below
- Please check the currently set value of the 'Onboard Video Option ROM' after entering the BIOS of the machine, at this path:
Advanced tab > PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration > Onboard Video Option Rom > LegacyThe value might be set as 'EFI' by default, however, to be able to boot from a CD, this value should be changed to 'Legacy'.
After saving the change, reboot and start the installation procedure by booting from a plugged-in CD or virtual media (from IPMI / iKVM).
