RDP fails during first connection with error Target address is not permitted -
Description
Users receive the following error during the first RDP connection attempt via SPS. Upon retrying the connection, the users are able to connect to the target machines successfully.
Target address is not permitted: {Target_Server_DNS_Name}

Cause
RDP inband target selection: DNS resolution timeout produces misleading "Target address is denied by policy" error

Resolution
STATUS:
Change Request # 711337 will address this issue in a future release of SPS subject to successful QA and product management approval.
WORKAROUND:
Make sure that DNS server resolutions are responding faster than 5 seconds
A second RDP attempt will succeed when the target server DNS name is cached.
