Testing connection or performing check password to an Oracle asset configured in Safeguard returns the following message:
- Identify the SERVICE_NAME from the tnnames.ora, enter this into the "Instance" field on the "Connection" tab on the Safeguard Asset.
- Ensure the service account is entered in the correct case for the Oracle user (ie. what is reported by select username from dba_users;). Typically, Oracle accounts are in upper case.
Remember to refresh the Safeguard interface and verify the user ids are upper cased after saving.
