OneLogin - Office 365 v2 One Click Domain Federation Setup -
Description
A customer attempted to configure a new Office 365 v2 application in ONELOGIN for a new domain. During setup, the one click federation option failed and returned an error, preventing the configuration from completing.

Cause
Domain federation was not in a Managed state prior to starting the process. Non-domain admin credentials were used to try and complete the configuration. -
Resolution
The one click tool is used to configure the application. This step automatically converts the domain from Managed to Federated using ONELOGIN. Your domain must be in a Managed state before starting the configuration.The setup must be performed using a Microsoft Global Administrator account. This level of access is required for the one click tool to make domain level changes. Without Global Admin permissions, the setup will fail. -
Additional Information
Using a private or incognito browser window is recommended to avoid issues caused by cached credentials.
