OneLogin - Unable to Add Optional Directory Attributes for Synchronization (4383178)

An administrator attempts to synchronize an optional attribute from a directory source into the identity platform user profile.
However, the option to add the attribute is unavailable, and the interface control to create new attribute mappings is disabled.

This prevents the attribute from being synchronized from the directory into user profiles.

The account does not have the Advanced Directory Field Mappings feature enabled.

Without this feature, optional or non-default directory attributes cannot be added to the directory mapping configuration, even if the attribute exists in the source directory.

1. To verify whether Advanced Directory Field Mappings is enabled for the account/tenant navigate to your Active Directory Connector, normally found at https//your_domain.onelogin.com/directory
2. Verify under the Directories Attributes tab for a plus sign (+) on the right side.
3. If the feature is not enabled, contact the account’s sales representative or account manager to request enablement.
4. After the feature is enabled, return to the directory configuration and add the optional attribute mapping.
5. Allow the next directory synchronization to complete, then verify that the attribute is populated in user profiles.

Once enabled, the Advanced Directory Field Mappings feature cannot be disabled unless all directories are removed from the account. This feature is independent of standard directory-related subscription options.
