How to add an image to the email notifications -
Description
It may be desired to add a company logo to the e-mail notifications that Password Manager sends out. This may be required to verify authenticity of the email being received by the users. This solution provides the details on how to add a logo. -
Resolution
The following two methods are supported to embed an image in the body of an email.
OPTION 1
Paste an image from the clipboard.
This method reliably works in Internet Explorer and Firefox, but in most cases will not work in Chrome.
- Copy the desire image to the clipboard (can be done via MSPaint).
- Navigate to the desired email notification.
- Ensure Custom is selected.
- Place the cursor in the appropriate location in the body and either click CTRL+V or right-click and paste.
- Click OK to save.
OPTION 2
Use a link to an image that exists in a network or Internet location
- Navigate to the desired email notification.
- Select Custom.
- Place the cursor in the appropriate location in the body.
- Click the Add Image button (see screenshot).
- Enter the network or Internet URL.
- Select OK.
Password Manager allows such URLs as network share and the URL correctly works through Exchange server up to Outlook.
