When attempting to reset password the following error occurs:
“System error occurred. Contact your administrator
Failed to generate new password”
No additional details are provided in the event viewer within the Password Manager server
Defect ID 663365, 85689.
If the Max Password Age Rule or Max Length Rule is not set within Password Policy Manager the password is not able to be reset.
However if both max and min are set there is no issue.
As a workaround use Maximum Password Age Rule set to a large time value as not to interfere with default domain password policy.
As a workaround use Maximum Length Rule set to value up to 32 characters.
