If multiple Password Manager servers are deployed in the environment, duplicate e-mails may be sent for notifications even though only one server is configured to run the scheduled tasks.
1. Open the local.storage file located in C:\ProgramData\One Identity\Password Manager on both servers.
2. Look for the below section:
< settings group="host">
< setting name="role" value="Primary" />
< setting name="hostId" value="08f56f7d-ccf5-4444-a665-dc8554970aaf" />
< setting name="customServicePortNumber" value="8082" />
< setting name="certificateThumbprint" value="" />
< /settings>
3. It is possible that both servers are set to "Secondary" and both are set to the hostID of the main server.
4. Open the shared.storage file in C:\ProgramData\One Identity\Password Manager on the main Password Manager server.
5. Look for the below section:
< hosts>
< host id="9f456eea-442b-49bc-b387-724e5e768022" />
< /hosts>
< /task>
< task schedulingType="Daily" id="50c05f99-7a97-4514-bdc9-5a1cc52c6bbf" name="ProfileUpdateReminder" enabled="true" hidden="false" period="01:00:00" weekDays="0" editMode="1" startAt="2015.09.03 02:00:00:000">
< hosts>
< /hosts>
6. Copy the corresponding Host ID for the server name, as it appears in the shared.storage file and then paste it in the local.storage file on the same server.
7. In the local.storage file, ensure that the one server is set to "Primary" and the others are "Secondary"
8. Restart the Password Manager service on all servers.
