How to enable logon by userPrincipalName (UPN) (4251019)

Navigate to

• Password Manager Admin site | General Settings | Search and Logon Options
• Enable the “Do not allow users to search for their accounts” radio button
• Enable the “Users must enter the following user account attribute for identification (this may slow down the performance):” radio button
• In the text box type “userPrincipalName” (Please note that this is case sensitive)
• Save the settings.

If alternative UPN suffixes are required then these must be entered in "Active Directory Domains and Trusts" or the userPrincipalName attribute can be updated for an individual user, before the domain connection is made in Password Manager.

If these suffixes have been created after the domain connection has been made then that connection must be disconnected and then reconnected in order to update the shared.storage file with the correct suffix(es).
