You may have noticed that when ‘Enforce Password History’ is configured for a workflow, a temporary password is recorded in the verbose logs.
This is by design. The reason the temporary password is logged in verbose mode is to allow further troubleshooting to be performed in case of a product failure.
An enhancement request (TF00694141) has been created detailing the feature: Remove/hide temporary password from PM verbose log.
STATUS
The product team will evaluate the request and this feature may become available on a future release of the product.
