In some environments where the IPv6 infrastructure is not full implemented or is malfunctioning, the error message Policy Manager error: 0x8007203A, The server is not operational. may show in verbose logging.
Immediately above that, we will see something like Using DC: FE80:0000:0000:0000:0202:B3FF:FE1E:8329 for Policy Manager
Attempting to run nslookup or ping -6 commands against this Domain Controller from the machine hosting Password Manager will return incorrect or unexpected results.
This is product defect (TF00654729) Caused by an environmental configuration due to the incorrect format of IPv6 + port number in an LDAP call that causes a network communication error with a Domain Controller.

WORKAROUND:
Disable IPv6 on the machine hosting Password Manager by completing the following steps:

There is no guarantee that a specific enhancement request will be implemented in a future release. UPDATE:
This issue has been resolved and IPV6 is now supported in version 5.8 and up.
