Title
MCU is unable to connect to PM Policy Server. Clients are not affected. -
Description
When attempting to use the MCU for modifying policies or review logs Management Console is unable to connect. All other operations seem fine.

Cause
On some operating systems this can be a result of password aging where the password essentially expires. -
Resolution
RESOLUTION:
Modify the age using the 'chage' command on Redhat or CentOS.

In a default install the setting on an account might look like this. # chage -l pmpolicy Last password change : Mar 28, 2013 Password expires : never Password inactive : never Account expires : never Minimum number of days between password change : 0 Maximum number of days between password change : 99999 Number of days of warning before password expires : 7
