Syslog shows the following: Out of memory: Kill process (pmlogsrvd)
pmlogsrvd.log shows the following at the same time: Event log storage library returned an error: disk I/O error
Event log storage library returned an error: database disk image is malformed -
Cause
Database corruption -
Resolution
1 - Stop the pmlogsrvd daemon
2 - Save off the existing pmevents.db*.
3 - Restart the pmlogsrvd daemon.
This will create a new database and that will then start processing the eventlog cache directory.
