Syslog is reporting this message: localhost pmclientd6.0.0 (050)[1603]: [ID 702911 auth.error] 3413 pmrun on remotehost not on a reserved port!
Localhost is the serer logging the message and the remotehost is another server.
One potential reason this can occur is when the remotehost causing the 3413 message is not a policy server but in fact a network security scanner which is triggering the message.
You can also trigger this message by doing a telnet test to connect to the masterport on the local host.
The pmclientd is used to support remote functions that may be used in the policy. It uses the masterport as defined in the pm.settings file. If remote functions are used in the policy, the pmmasterd on the policy servers will contact the pmclientd on the client hosts to get information about the client.
