Cause 1:
MCU memory did not refresh the database infromation correctly
RESOLUTION 1:
1 - Restart the MCU service
On Windows:
a) Start | run and services.msc
b) Look for the following service: Quest One Management Console for Unix or Quest Identity Manager for Unix
c) Right click the service and select Restart
On Unix:
a) Log onto the machine as root user
b) Enter the following: /etc/init.d/mcu_service restart
WORKAROUND:
Configure the Primary Sudo policy manually:
1 - SSh into the QPM server as root
2 - Review the options of the pmsrvconfig command
#pmsrvconfig --help
3 - Unconifgure the server if partially configured
#pmsrvconfig -u
4 - Configure the primary server and create a policy group
#pmsrvconfig -a -n
5 - In MCU select the QPM server and then Profile
TROUBLESHOOTING:
If you are still having trouble, please collect the following information an open a Service Request with support:
1 - Stop the MCU service and backup the database. Please refer to KB95993 for instructions.
2 - Turn on MCU debug and No sugi cleanup and recreate issue. Please refer to KB113984 for instructions.
3 - Send any QPM logs output such as /opt/quest/qpm4u/install/pmsrvconfig_output_####.log that exists.
