When logging into the reporting console for QPM for Unix 5.5 and your password is being rejected even after making sure you are entering the password correctly and the user is a member of the correct group.
This is caused by special characters in the password.
The following characters can cause this issue.
$ * ( ) | ; ~ # < > % & +
WORKAROUND 1:
Quoting with single or double quotes, or preceding with \ works for passwords containing the following special characters.
$ * ( ) | ; ~ # < >
There is no workaround for these characters: % & +
WORKAROUND 2:
These special characters work in passwords normally.
! � £ ^ : @ ? , . / _ - =
WORKAROUND 3:
Avoid special characters in passwords.
