1- Download, save and run the snapshot script on the reporting server:
ftp://IDM:D39-3s4fO0+l9w@ftpamer1.quest.com/pub/IDM/Support/Scripts/qpm4u_snapshot/qpm4u_snapshot.sh.gz
2- Check reporting server operating system is supported . see guide.
Get Redhat Version:cat /etc/redhat-release
3-Gather versions of the following:
Apache version: rpm -qa |grep -i http
MYSQL version: rpm -qa |grep -i mysql
# pmrcqueryservice -V
pmrcqueryservice Version 5.5.2.006
# pmrclogfind -V
pmrclogfind Version 5.5.2.006
Browser version if applicable
4 - Try browser directly on the reporting server locally and from another machine
5 - find / | grep libmysqlclient.so.15
6 - From the reporting console get a copy of the following files
/etc/opt/quest/pmrc/pmrc.conf file
/etc/opt/quest/pmrc/reportingconsole.conf
7 - On all master make sure that the /opt/quest/sbin/pmrclogfind is running /opt/quest/sbin/pmrclogfindctl status
If it is not running started:/opt/quest/sbin/pmrclogfindctl start
8 - From the reporting console run '/opt/quest/bin/pmbench' and let me know if it returns any errors at the bottom or if it returns as ok?
9 - Restart apache
/etc/init.d/httpd restart
10 -Restart Pmrclogfind
/opt/quest/sbin/pmrclogfindctl {start|stop|status|restart}
11- Check if secure linux and if yes disable it.Edit /etc/selinux/config to disable SELINUX.
12- Try reinstalling on the RC Server:
* deinstall the reporting console (/opt/quest/pmrc/deinstall)
* verify that the passgoreport database is empty (mysql -p, to login as root and "show databases;" to verfiy that passgoreport db nolonger exists)
* remove any old eventlog files that may be on the RC server
* install the new Reporting Console (pmrcquickinstall -console)
13 - mysql commands
login to Mysql: mysql -u root -p < password>
shows Mysql version 5.5.13
show databases; Look for passgoreport database exist
Look for passgoreport user and permissions:
SELECT user,host,password,select_priv,insert_priv,shutdown_priv,grant_priv FROM mysql.user;
