Are there any negative consequences to running pmhostlicense -ol from a cron job?
It could be desirable to automatically license agents that are registering on masters without human intervention. This can usually be acheived by turning off host based licensing.
However if you are taking advantage of clustered licensing then host based licensing cannot be turned off.
There is no known negative consequence from a performance or stability point of view to running 'pmostlicense -ol' in a cron job on a master at regular intervals.
This is uniquely a QPM4U 5.5 concern as previous versions do not have host based licensing and future version will require that 'agents' will be joined to 'policy servers' and that action will also license the agent at that time.
