One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Services 3.6.X

Problem

As a result of changes being implemented by Salesforce regarding their Salesforce API endpoint URL address, One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Services will not be able to access Salesforce from January 1st, 2016 

How does this affect One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Services

Salesforce are changing the URL address that developers must utilize for 3rd party API endpoint development from https://salesforce.com to https://login.salesforce.com. This address change will cause the QuickConnect software along with all other software that utilizes the https://salesforce.com to no longer function.

The Quick Connect for Cloud Services Salesforce connector will display an error message stating:

Cannot connect using the specified connection settings - the remote name cannot be resolved “www.salesforce.com” 

Resolution

To resolve this issue the hotfix outlined in solution article KB180074 must be applied to One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Services versions 3.6.x.
