As previously announced, One Identity will no longer offer Two-Factor Authentication via the Starling Hybrid Subscription after November 1, 2022. If you are using Password Manager in conjunction with your Starling Hybrid Subscription for logins, this feature will cease to function as of November 1st, 2022.
HOW DOES THIS AFFECT ME?
Once Starling Hybrid ends on November 1, 2022, Password Manager may cease to function if Starling is Joined and 2FA is configured within Password Manager Management Policies.
WHAT CAN I DO?
For the Self-Service Password Manager 5.10 introduces One Identity Redistributable Security Token Service (RSTS) as a replacement solution for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Steps to configure RSTS will be included in the Password Manager 5.10.0 Administration Guide.
It is recommended to upgrade to Password Manager 5.10.0 and do the following:
• Configure RSTS
• Remove 2FA options from all workflows and unjoin from Starling.
Alternatively RADIUS can be used within Password Manager. For information on configuring RADUIS, please see the Password Manager Administration Guide.
Steps to remove Starling 2FA options within Password Manager can be found in KB 338991.
Password Manager 5.11 will introduce One Identity Redistributable Security Token Service (RSTS) as a option for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for Admin and Helpdesk sites.
