TPAM 2.5 will be generally available (GA) shortly and we want to provide you with some important information regarding this new release. Version 2.5 of Privileged Password Manager (PPM) and Privileged Session Manager (PSM) include many exciting new features. There are three major areas of focus for this release including:
TPAM version 2.5 will run on a new operating system, Windows 2008, and it will not be possible to do an in place upgrade of a stand-alone, a primary or a replica appliance to version 2.5. Therefore upgrading from version 2.4 to version 2.5 requires careful planning and consideration. At a high-level, the process for upgrading will include receiving additional appliances from Quest that already have TPAM version 2.5 installed. Once you are in receipt of the new appliance a backup is taken from the existing 2.4 appliance(s) and the data is restored to the new 2.5 appliance(s).
