An error is displayed when creating a security policy: "Failed to create the new object, error code = 0x80072014" (4232920)

An error is seen when creating a Defender Policy.  An example of the error:  "Failed to create the new object, error code = 0x80072014"

In this case, the diagnostics file pointed to a problem when using the CN=defender-policyMaximumPasswordAge and CN=defender-policyMaximumPINAge attributes

Try the following:

1. In Windows Explorer navigate to 'C:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Install Logs' and delete the existing 'defender_ade_mmc_install.txt' file.
2. Open a command prompt and run the Defender Console installer using the /SCHEMA switch i.e. "DefenderADE MMC Installer.exe /SCHEMA".
3. Once completed test creating a new policy.

If this is not successful then please send the install log from 'C:\ProgramData\Quest Software\Install Logs' .
