The following error message is displayed when search for a user account in the Self-Service site
“No accounts matching your search criteria have been found. Check the information you entered and try again.”
In the verbose logs the following exception is reported.
“2016-10-20 10:04:45:662 E [1544:6] QPM.Service.dll b__b() >> System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryServicesCOMException (0x80072030): There is no such object on the server.”
There is an Organizational Unit (OU) scoped to the user site which no longer exists in Active Directory.
In the verbose logs search for “(0x80072030): There is no such object on the server.”
The name of the deleted OU is in the LDAP path listed about 8 lines before the error.
This OU should be removed from the User scope and Helpdesk scope if it is also listed there.
In the example below the OU called ‘Dummy’ had been scoped to the User site, then deleted and now causes the user search error.
