The following error is shown since the upgrade to Password Manager
In Password Manager v5.7.1 and newer, the mechanism to read dictionary file has changed. In all versions of PPM up to 5.7.0 a copy of the dictionary file was kept on each of the DC’s and also each PM instance. If an update was required then this had to be manually copied across all of these servers.
With PM 5.7.1 and newer, the dictionary file is now centralized and edits are done once on the PM Admin site and don’t need to be manually copied over to other servers. See further details here.
If Password Manager Server is upgraded from 5.7.0 to 5.7.1 and newer, but the PPM components remain on v5.7.0, this is not going to work by default. The reason behind is that the Password Manager Server will look for folder 31EB75A4-CD1A-4F67-94DA-9F8F5DF1F5C1 in SYSVOL, but folder 31EB75A4-CD1A-4F67-94DA-9F8F5DF1F5C1 will not exist since PPM v5.7.1 and newer has not been deployed yet:
WORKAROUND 1:
Upgrade PPM to the current version on all DCs so the Admin site version and PPM versions match
WORKAROUND 2:
Create folder 31EB75A4-CD1A-4F67-94DA-9F8F5DF1F5C1 within SYSVOL and copy file QPMDictionary.txt file over.
